The Top to Bottom Approach to Cleaning

Approach to Cleaning

One question we sometimes get at All Bright Janitorial Cleaning is, “How do you know HOW to clean a specific business, office, or interior space?” The answer is simple: We always apply the same top to bottom cleaning approach to every project.

Top-to-bottom cleaning means starting at one upper corner — usually the northeast corner — of the room and working our way down and out until we reach the opposite corner. That way every square inch of the room gets the attention it deserves and we don’t have to worry about doing double work.

Double Work

For efficiency’s sake, we prefer to clean a particular object or surface only once. The top to bottom approach facilitates this most effectively.

For example, let’s say we don’t use the top to bottom approach and instead vacuum the floor, dust the desks, and then clean the overhead lighting fixtures. If we follow this sequence, the dust from the lighting fixtures is going to fall onto the desks. And the dirt and debris from the desks are going to fall onto the floor. Our cleaners would then have to reclean the desk and then reclean the floor.

But if we start at the top and work our way down and out, then we never have to worry about having to clean the same object or surface twice. It’s a lesson learned from having done this many, many times and one of the many ways we apply our decade-plus of experience cleaning New England offices and other commercial properties to work for you.

All Bright Janitorial Services

Top-to-bottom efficiency means we can spend more time focusing on deep-cleaning your business and less time wasting effort double-cleaning. Inexperienced commercial cleaners or those with workers who don’t know how to clean properly or don’t care about doing a good job will simply clean randomly.

But our goal is to deliver the best possible cleaning experience to you in the most efficient manner. And that’s the All Bright Janitorial Services difference!
